LECTURER (LAW)– GRADE TWELVE (12)
Requirements for Appointment:
(i) A doctorate degree (PhD) from an accredited/recognized institution;
OR
Master’s degree in Specialist training;
(ii) Must have a minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience
(iii) A minimum of twelve (12) research publication output points from refereed scholarly journals and two (2) points from publications in conference proceedings,
(iv) Evidence of recognition and registration by the relevant regulatory body where applicable; and
(v) Evidence of membership or affiliation of the relevant professional body where applicable.
Evidence of administrative work done in the department
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
An individual appointed as a Lecturer shall:
(i) Teach and asses courses in one’s discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(ii) Supervise undergraduate students’ projects and other experimental learning programmes;
(iii) Supervise dissertations/theses at postgraduate level;
(iv) Participate in the development/review of undergraduate and postgraduate courses;
(v) Initiate, promote and participate in research projects;
(vi) Provide professional and community services, and initiate strategic training and research partnerships and linkages, and undertake fundraising for the university; and
(vii) Carry out administrative and such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Terms and Conditions
The above positions carry remuneration packages which include basic salary, medical cover, house allowance, transport and leave allowance.
