Senior Cook / Senior Assistant Waiter I

Job Description

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:

i.         Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should be at the grade of Senior Cook/Senior Waiter Assistant II or in a comparable position;

ii.       Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Institutional Management, Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Management and Home Economics or its equivalent from an accredited examination body;

iii.     Higher Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Institutional Management, Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Management and Home Economics or its equivalent from an accredited examination body;

iv.          Food handling certificate;

v.            Certificate in Supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognised and accredited institution; and 

vi.          Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
