Reports to: Immediate Supervisor

Duties and responsibilities

An officer in this level is responsible for:

1. Driving University vehicles

2. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness

3. Reporting any vehicle defects to immediate supervisor

4. Observing vehicle preventive maintenance

5. Adhere closely to the highway code

6. Be courteous and professional in dealing with passengers

7. Ensuring work-tickets authorized. 

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade one must have:

1. KCSE certificate or equivalent qualification

2. Valid Driving License Class D1, D2 and D3 with PSV endorsement

3. Passed Occupational Trade Test I for PSV drivers

4. Certificate of good conduct 

5. Special professional driving license will be an added advantage

6. At least six (6) years working experience

7. Provide daily preventive maintenance of vehicles
