ICT OFFICER I (WEB DEVELOPER) - GRADE TEN (10)

Responsibilities

       Develop and maintain backend infrastructure for our internal systems and public website, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure functionality.

       Optimize performance by refactoring and improving existing code, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and security.

       Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices in backend development.

       Continuously monitor and improve the security of our backend systems, staying ahead of potential threats and vulnerabilities.

       Manage database operations using Laravel's Eloquent ORM and MySQL, ensuring data integrity and efficient data management.

       API development and management

Requirements

- Laravel: Senior-level expertise in Laravel and PHP, with a minimum of 3 years of experience:

       PHP and Laravel: Deep understanding of core PHP concepts and proficient in using the Laravel framework to develop complex applications.

       Eloquent ORM & MySQL: Expertise in Laravel's Eloquent ORM for efficient database operations and strong knowledge of MySQL database management.

       Unit Testing: Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure the stability and reliability of backend systems.

       Optimization: Ability to optimize application performance, focusing on load times, query efficiency, and server resource usage.

       Blade: Skilled in leveraging Laravel Blade templating for dynamic content rendering and efficient UI development.

       Experience with DevOps: Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and server management is required.

- Bonus Skills: Understanding of Front-End Technologies: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js or React.js is a plus, though the primary focus will be on backend development.

Experience & Education

     Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

     Professional Experience: Typically 3–5 years of experience in backend development.

     Portfolio: A portfolio of web projects showcasing skills
